It all began when Celi Harper, the founder of Gecko on the Move, crossed paths with Heather Welch from Edx Education, a manufacturer of high-quality maths manipulatives. This partnership solidified the charity, igniting a journey of empowerment through maths education across the globe.

With profound sorrow, in January this year, Gecko on the Move (GOTM) announced the unexpected passing of Murray Jackson, the visionary founder and director of Edx Education. Murray’s unwavering support for GOTM was unparalleled, generously providing essential maths manipulatives for teaching in resource-constrained primary schools. His visionary leadership played a pivotal role in our success, and we owe much of our achievements to his dedication. Murray’s enduring legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through education.

Edx Education, a leading provider of educational resources, has been making waves not only in classrooms but also in communities worldwide. From its humble beginnings to its current status as a pioneer in mathematics learning and active play resources, Edx’s journey is nothing short of inspirational.

In a recent TV show filmed in Taiwan, viewers were treated to an exclusive glimpse into Edx’s remarkable growth and impactful contributions. Edx Education’s significant contributions to Taiwan’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape were highlighted. Murray and Pony, representing Edx Education, discussed various initiatives, including the establishment of mobile kindergartens to ensure early childhood education reaches every corner of the country.
